Day 0: Arrival to Durrës

The essence of Albanian culture is family. If you want to arrange anything, you do not book online, you do not inquire on the phone, you do not go the information desk. Instead, you must ask your relatives.

Indeed, when we land in Tirana, we do not take an airport transfer, but A's parents (who arrived the day before) and his cousin are waiting for us with a rental car.

By the way, the rental car is not from the obvious source (i.e. airport rental) either, but via a friend of a friend. It is a 20+ years old Golf, ran already 308.000 km, but boy it took us to places others ride with a 4x4! But more on that later...
